How to Have Clear Skin Naturally?

The condition of your skin tells a lot about you – people can tell whether you take care of yourself properly and even whether or not you are healthy. That is why you must do whatever it takes to ensure that you have clear, flawless skin at all times. The skin is the biggest organ in the body so needless to say, maintaining it is very important.

Most people buy skin products that they believe will leave them with supple skin. Some of them work but unfortunately, there are many out there that do nothing at all for the skin. In fact, some contain harmful ingredients that can even cause cancer. This article will tell you about commonly found natural ingredients that you can use on your skin that will have no harmful effects at all.

Lemons

Lemons contain citric acid that is very helpful for making skin clear. In addition to that, it also exfoliates allowing for pores to open. If you have dark blotches on your skin you can easily get rid of them by using lemons. There are 3 ways that you can use lemon. You can apply it directly on the face or any other part of your body that needs it. Leave it on for about 15 minutes and then rinse. Pat your face dry and then rub gently with cucumber slices to moisturize.

The second method involves mixing lemon and 2 tablespoons of pure honey. Apply on the face and then leave it on for 15 minutes. Rinse, dry and moisturize as usual. Lastly, you can exfoliate your hands by mixing lemon with sugar. The lemon lefts the dead skin and the sugar makes the sloughing more effective. Rub in circular motions for 15 minutes and then rinse.

Turmeric

Turmeric, a spice that is common in Asian countries, has been used by women there to lighten skin for hundreds of years. It is an antiseptic and also acts as a skin lightener. In addition to that, it has been known to alleviate allergic reactions and it has even been known to make dull skin look radiant.

Mix a little turmeric with pineapple juice to make a paste. Apply to your face and leave it on until it dries up. Rinse off and moisturize. Do this a few times a week and you will see a significant change to your skin. You can also mix with gram flour and milk if you want to reduce the appearance of scars. Mix into a paste and apply on the face. Leave it on until it dries and then rinse.

Raw honey

Raw honey is another skin remedy that has been used for hundreds of years. Honey contains antibacterial properties and also deeply moisturizes the skin (you will notice that many formulations list honey as one of the ingredients). You can apply the raw honey directly to the skin and let it dry before you rinse. Do this once a day. You can also mix a tablespoon of honey with 2 tablespoons of milk and one tablespoon of gram flour. Apply and let it sit for 20 minutes before you rinse.

Aloe vera

This is one of the best things that you can ever do for your skin. Not only does aloe vera deeply moisturize the skin, it has many other properties that make it incredible for the skin. It can be used to get rid of pimples and rashes, it can be used to heal burns, reduce scars and it can even help with mild cases of psoriasis and eczema. Aloe vera usually comes in the form of gels and creams but if you can, try and get hold of the plant itself. The juice in the leaves is what you are after. Break a leaf and then slice it open.

Apply the juice directly on your skin and let it sit for 20 or 30 minutes. Rinse and moisturize. Do this twice a week for 2 or 3 weeks and you will see a remarkable difference. If you suffer from dry skin there is no reason why you cannot give yourself an aloe bath. Just get a few leaves, chop them into a pot, put water and let them boil. They will produce a yellowish liquid that looks a little like urine. Run a bath and then add this liquid and soak for a while. By the time you get out

of the bath your skin will already be different. Do this 3 times a week and you will cure yourself of dry skin. Be warned though – aloe vera is very bitter and it if gets into your mouth it can leave a taste for more than a few minutes.

Cucumber

Almost everyone knows that cucumbers are good for the skin. They hydrate and nourish and they also have astringent properties that help repaid damaged cells. They are easy to use – just cut into slices and rub all over your face before you go to bed. Leave until morning before you rinse. You cam also mix cucumber juice and lemon juice and apply. Leave it to dry before you rinse.

Papaya

This yummy fruit is nourishing not just for your body but also for your skin – it will help the texture and it adds a glow. Get a ripe one and chop and then mash the chopped bits into a paste. Add sandalwood powder and mix. Apply on the face and leave it for 30 minutes before you rinse. You can follow with a splash of rose water. You will be happy to know that this same mix works for scars as well.

Walnut powder

If you have some walnuts and a grinder you should grind them into powder. Mixed with yogurt, this powder has the potential to bring life to dull skill and it also has antioxidants. Just apply the mixture to your face and leave it to dry. Once dry, rub in circular motions for a few minutes before you rinse. Alternatively, you can soak 3 walnuts overnight in a little water. In the morning make them into paste and then add rose water. Apply and leave to dry and then rinse. Done twice or thrice a week this home remedy will make a difference.
